AIGA brings design to the world, and the world to designers.
As the profession’s oldest and largest professional membership organization for design—with more than 70 chapters and more than 15,000 members—we advance design as a professional craft, strategic advantage, and vital cultural force.

AIGA advocates for a greater understanding of the value of design and designers in government, business, and media. We inspire designers and the public by sharing the most exciting design work and engaging in thoughtful, provocative discussion on pressing issues. We aim to enhance professional development through enriching learning opportunities at all levels.

From content that defines the global practice to events that connect and catalyze, we work to enhance the value and deepen the impact of design across all disciplines on business, society, and our collective future. We do this by defining global standards and ethical practices and making powerful tools and resources accessible to all.

The Mentorship Program of Everi Holdings, Inc.
Cabinet Member, Advisory Board Member, Mentor, Mentee
01-2022 to Present
The Mentorship Program at Everi is an annual, 6-month program that aims to connect employees in an encouraging environment, help foster professional growth, and promote a positive company culture.
I got accepted into the program in 2022 as a mentee. I continued being a mentee for the 2023 program. For the 2024 program, to take my skills to the next level and contribute back to the program, I became involved as a mentor.
The Task Force Advisory Board
After the 2022 program, I had the honor of being approached to join the Task Force Advisory Board because someone had recommended me for it.
As a member of the Task Force Advisory Board, I continually met with my assigned mentee/mentor pairings to support, be a resource, and ensure their success in the program. For the 2023 program, I advised 5 mentorship pairings with participants ranging from entry-level to Senior Vice President level.
In 2024, the Mentorship Program did not have enough volunteers for this board to handle the growth of the program. The Cabinet adopted the duties of the Task Force Advisory Board per my recommendation.
The Mentorship Program Cabinet
After the 2023 program and 2 seasons of my participation, I had the honor of being approached to join the Mentorship Program Cabinet. They liked my graphic design, communications work, and the newsletter I led for WLI, and they wanted me to create the same for their program. They also liked my ability to generate ideas and wanted me to help come up with ideas for activities.
The Mentorship Program Communications Committee:
I was told the program sometimes experienced issues getting enough volunteers for activities. Within 1 day, I was able to gather 11 volunteers for the newsletter project.
(This project is still in its beginning stages. I'm currently in process of planning the strategy and next steps for the volunteers. Stay tuned for more information!)
The Women's Leadership Initative of Everi Holdings, Inc.
Cabinet Member, WLI Communications Committee Creator and Lead, Alumni, Member
01-2022 to 12-2023
The WLI at Everi was dedicated to promoting and advocating for gender diversity at all levels of leadership through awareness, development, and inspiration.
I joined the program as a member in January of 2022. Members become alumni after 1 year in the program.
In 2022 and because of my background in communications, graphic design, marketing, and photography, I saw an opportunity to strengthen the communications in WLI. I proposed to WLI's Cabinet the idea of having a Communications Committee for WLI. They supported that idea.
In November of 2022 and less than 1 year of being a member, I was invited by 2 of the founding members to create and lead the Communications Committee as well as join the WLI Cabinet.
The WLI Communiations Committee consisted of the following 5 teams:
• Social Media
• Photography
• Graphic Design
• Internal Communications
• Editing
The program was rebranded to the Everi Leadership Initiative at the end of 2023. The program is currently paused as we transition to this new brand.
